We are a friendly group of embroiderers who meet once a month normally on the second Saturday of the month to chat, exchange ideas, and listen to a professional speaker on all things embroidery and textiles.
Don’t worry if you think you can’t stitch – many of our workshops are designed for complete beginners.
Do come along to our next Saturday branch meeting – which is free for your first visit – and £4.00 after that which includes refreshments.
Our group was started nearly twenty years ago by Wendy Pidgeon and Patricia Hamlin (who are still active members in the group). These ladies were and still are very passionate about all things to do with embroidery, and their enthusiasm has given our branch its special blend of traditional and contemporary character.
We are pleased to report that the Branch has just had a very successful exhibition which has attracted a lot of support in the local area. We hope to build on this in the coming months and are also looking forward to staging the Regional Day in 2013 which coincides with our 21st Birthday.
